Aharbal Waterfall

It is also known as “Niagara Falls of Kashmir”, is a hill station in the south-western part of Kashmir Valley in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, south of the summer capital of Srinagar . The place is quite peaceful and suitable for expeditions, trekking, photography, and fishing. Due to mesmerising look of meadows, pine and fir tree forests, the abutting snow clad mountains, the waterfall attracts many Indian and international tourists.

Aharbal Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Kashmir. It is also the most easily accessible one and yet never crowded. Located at a distance of only about 70 kilometers from Srinagar, it is a place that is amazingly beautiful but does not get the attention that it truly deserves.

Most of the people visiting Kashmir prefer going to destinations like Sonamarg, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam. But Kashmir is so much more than just these few names. There are plenty of other places that are no lesser in beauty. Aharbal is one of those.
